Production APIs with clear contracts and bounded behavior.

Preflight Stack is a suite of focused x402 services for autonomous software. I own the product direction and use this project to design, ship, document, and operate small capabilities that can be discovered and paid for through HTTP.

Founder & Product Engineer

I’m an aviation electrical specialist with more than two decades of experience spanning aircraft maintenance, technical troubleshooting, operations control, and team leadership.

As I prepare for the next chapter of my career, I’m expanding deeper into networking, software, automation, and development. Current projects include Preflight Stack and ORB Trading Lab, an automated Opening Range Breakout research and paper-trading system.

Outside of work, I enjoy building things and learning by doing, from homelab infrastructure and networking to agentic APIs, developer tools, and experiments around x402 and machine-to-machine services. I’m especially interested in small, practical problems where new technology can make something simpler, faster, or more useful. When I’m not building software, I’m often building computers, 3D-printing, writing, or making tea, currently Yunnan Black Treasure is my favorite!

Selected work

Three small services, three different engineering problems.

Each service has a narrow contract, explicit limits, public documentation, and a live interface an employer can inspect.

Decision systems

Dependency Preflight

Evaluates exact npm and PyPI versions and returns ALLOW, REVIEW, or BLOCK guidance with findings and source evidence.

ValidationEvidencePolicy boundaries
Stateless primitive

Random Choice

Provides uniform or weighted selection from bounded JSON-compatible inputs using cryptographically secure server-side randomness.

Temporary File Relay

Coordinates payment, upload, verification, publication, expiry, and bounded reads for temporary agent-to-agent handoff.

Engineering throughline

Make the boundary part of the product.

The services are intentionally explicit about input shape, payment state, output contracts, expiry, rate limits, and what they do not guarantee.

  • HTTP-native x402 payment semantics
  • Machine-readable OpenAPI and discovery metadata
  • Small, composable API surfaces
  • Privacy and security constraints stated in plain language
